Faces of Agira 2021
Our first Faces of Agira in 2021. Back then, we placed around 350 pictures of the 490 men who rest in this cemetery. In 2023 we hosted Faces of Agira again and placed 460 pictures.

Operation Dragoon is a less known operation and mainly overshadowed by D-Day in Normandy. But it is a very interesting area since it is both touristic and historical interesting. This specific picture is a farm in Le Muy which was an aid station during the first days of fighting.

One of the reseaches we have done it that of Ted Kroon. Dutch from origin, he emigrated to Canada and joined the army. He sadly died on Sicily after Italian airplanes attacked the trucks they were sitting in.

Operation Veritable
Major Michael John Reynell who was severly wounded during Vertitable, died in a Dutch hospital and is buried at Jonkerbos War Cemetery in Nijmegen. We retraced his tracks from the start of the operation to the place is his buried.

Haarlem (Netherlands)
Many time is spend researching the 1st Canadian Division. They started the fighting in Europe by invading Sicily and they ended their war liberating large parts of The Netherlands. This is Verwulft (square) in Haarlem.

Just South of Nijmegen serious fighting took place during Operation Market Garden and later during Operation Veritable. Scars of battle are still visible.

Anne Frank
Although many tourists visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, many forget the family lived in Amsterdam before they went into hiding. Their home is still there and easy to visit. Old pictures of Anne can be found on google and can bring you back to where she lived with beautiful then&now moments.
